If you’re interested in joining a deal, you can directly commit through a form. Keep in mind that you should always make your own investment decisions and due diligence on a deal-by-deal basis.
If you decide to invest in a deal, there are no management or closing fees, just a 15% carried interest which goes to Swisspreneur and is re-invested into our free community initiatives, such as our masterclasses, for example.
Carried interest is a share of the profit. The carried interest of the Swisspreneur Syndicate is 15%. The carried interest is only due when you make a profit and only on the profit part of your investment. For example, if you invest CHF 5’000 and get back CHF 10’000, the carried interest is only due on the CHF 5’000 profit that you made.
The minimum investment amount per deal is 5’000 CHF.
No, as a syndicate backer, you are investing in membership units of the Special Purpose Vehicle — the SPV invests in the company on behalf of its members. So there is only one cap table entry for the Swisspreneur Syndicate.
We form a simple partnership through a legal contract amongst the syndicate investors for every deal we invest in.
After all legal documents have been signed and the money has been transferred, you will receive regular updates from the startup about their development. The frequency of those updates is driven by the startups: some of them send us monthly reports, while others only do it on an annual basis.
No, you don’t, but you are obviously free to join a follow-up round of the same deal.
